A hammock’s functionality is dependent upon tension and balance. Life is no different, with areas of our lives constantly pulling for our time, energy and resources. Often, we are lopsided, but the goal is to feel more balanced. Relax. What little change will you make today?

Mother-daughter duo: animal lovers. Plum Island mermaids, lovers of travel, art and food aficionados. Working with their hands is a daily necessity.

Beth: Museum of Fine Arts, 1983.

Cailla: Parsons School of Design, 2009.
