Autumnal Green Man

Autumnal Green Man, a symbol of the precarious relationship between man and nature, depicts the green man enjoying the reaps of the harvest, reminding us of our responsibilities to ensure the preservation of our natural environment. Positioned on a large tree enables him to witness the management of our precious resources.

Susan Gately is a fiber artist working with needle, wet and nuno felting techniques. A member of the Northeast Fiber Guild, she teaches classes at Newburyport Adult Education.
