Going out, going in

Fallen branches gathered from several locations, mostly stripped of bark and sanded, decorated with inks, paints, and natural materials, ranging from 3-5 feet in height.

Inspired by John Muir's words, "I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in," this installation is dedicated to all walkers and seekers.

Nina: After several years of helping friends with their installations, I decided to make the leap and try it myself. A long-time Maker, I live in Ipswich and walk every day.
