Cailla and Beth Quinn

Untitled

wire, grapevine, jute fabric, PVC pipe

Mother and daughter artists who are collaborating on a sculpture together for the 6th year at Maudslay. Each working in a multitude of disciplines, we come together to experiment with different materials and approaches each year with a different perspective. This year we were interested in focusing on the texture of the material, allowing it to twist and wrap, creating a certain movement in the piece, and combining it with foraged elements to create this large-scale, textile sculpture.
