Julia has always been drawn to the unavoidable messiness of clay. Getting lost in the process of creating, she oscillates between mathematical forms and organic assemblages. She works with a variety of materials to sustain intrigue to the ebb and flow of her attention, and to delight her imagination. She teaches at a pottery studio and at an independent K-8 school in D.C.
