This sculpture was inspired by an old watercolor of mine I that seemed made for this moment.  In it, I will explore safety, risk, and our journeys to get in and out of our personal perches and cocoons.

Bert works to create artworks that evoke stories and also leave room for viewers imagination and involvement, sometimes with and actual controls (though not this year.) He is also a musician, and designs and develops engaging online learning projects.
