Planned Serendipity

Wood, nylon rope

Planned Serendipity is an oxymoron that defines much of my work. Usually I have a planned big picture in my head for my art, but then as the work progresses, I allow the process to take me where it wants to go.

I like to create “color and texture memories” of places I’ve visited and to explore macro and micro environments in nature through my work. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of sculpture with unconventional and re-purposed materials.
