Interconnected

Xerox-transfer portraits on blue slate, fixative, metal rings/fasteners, metal chains

This sculpture is portraits of people who have had “the blues,” Xerox-transferred onto blue slate and linked together – a statement on the isolation in our culture that gives rise to depression and suicide. When all is gray and we feel all alone – this piece reminds us that we are all interconnected.

Artist, vocalist, educator. Stone sculpture in alabaster, marble and granite and large format paintings and up-cycled multi-media are main ways of creating visually.
