Artemis, in ancient myth, was Greek Goddess of the moon and imperial nymph of all wild things. Often accompanied by deer (which she considered sacred), hunting bows and arrows, Artemis wielded her energy to heal, to hunt, protect or devour. Her divine connection to feminine power was one of the most respected of all archaic Greek deities.
