Gayle Heney

HELP

Griswold Bolo Oven, logs, iridescent film, red and yellow tulle, paint

My work uses materials with personal/historical meaning. This submission uses an over 100-year-old, antique oven I purchased from an historical home in North Andover. The oven’s longevity stands in contrast to combustible materials inside. Is what’s inside worth saving?

Gayle Heney’s sculptures appeared in Maudslay State Park and Pingree School. Her pottery/assemblages appeared at Whistler House Museum of Art and AIGMV’s 2022 Show. There, she won Best in Show. Her masks are on display at Boxford Council on Aging.
