This sculpture is based on the design of a labyrinth, and named after Ariadne who aided Theseus by giving him a ball of thread so that he could find his way out of the labyrinth after killing the Minotaur.

Caroline Bagenal is a visual artist and writer. She will be the Goetemann Artist in Residence at Ocean Alliance in Gloucester, MA from Sept 5-Oct 2 2024.
