Fractured Space with Ghost Babies
reclaimed lobster rope, tall garden hooks, brass circles, invisible thread
Inspired by both the cracks in the sidewalk and my love of using reclaimed materials, I used fractured pieces of discarded lobster rope to create a fractured area in space. The brass circles break up the space with movement.
I am a retired Mass art teacher with years of working with students creating outdoor sculptures at the deCordova Museum. I have a BA in studio art and art education from Queens College, NY and an MFA from Boston University.
