The piece is inspired by our haiku: the fledgling schoolgirl / only taught how to fit in / never learned to fly. It represents our fractured relationship with nature and our need to reconnect.
Nancy Winkler is an amateur artist who enjoys making things. Joyce Bartlett is an abstract painter who loves art in all forms.
